Grants for Teachers in Spotsylvania and Fredericksburg!

Teachers in Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania can apply for professional enrichment and character development grants through The Community Foundation beginning Monday, July 17, 2017.
The foundation’s Haven Make a Difference Fund will award as much as $11,000 in total grants that benefit Fredericksburg City School teachers and students. Teachers may apply for grants that expand their teaching skills or provide classroom resources. Successful proposals will feature innovation, be based on solid research and best practices in teaching and include professional development that directly impacts students. The deadline for submissions is Monday, August 21, 2017 by 5pm.
The Trust for Public Education will award a minimum of $9,000 in grants to Spotsylvania public school teachers this year. The grants will enable teachers to further develop their classroom skills or build programs to cultivate strong youth character. All applications are due to The Community Foundation by Monday, August 21, 2017 by 5pm.
The applications for these funding opportunities will be available July 17th, 2017. Awards will be announced the week of September 25, 2017.
