Grants for Teachers in Spotsylvania and Fredericksburg!

Teachers in Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania can apply for professional enrichment and character development grants through The Community Foundation beginning Monday, March 26, 2018.
The foundation’s Haven Make a Difference Fund and the Governor's Row Fund for Teachers and Students will award as much as $12,000 in combined grants that benefit Fredericksburg City School teachers and students. Teachers may apply for grants that expand their teaching skills or provide classroom resources. Successful proposals will feature innovation, be based on solid research and best practices in teaching and include professional development that directly impacts students. The deadline for submissions is Monday, May 7, 2018 by 5pm.
The Trust for Public Education will award a minimum of $8,000 in grants to Spotsylvania public school teachers this year. The grants will enable teachers to further develop their classroom skills or build programs to cultivate strong youth character. All applications are due to The Community Foundation by Monday, May 7, 2018 by 5pm.
The applications for these funding opportunities will be available March 26, 2018. Awards will be announced the week of June 25, 2018.
