Leah, Jon, Lucy, Chris and Dori - Thank you and Farewell!
June 22, 2018
Jon Van Zandt, Lucy Harman, Christine Repp, Dori Eglevsky and Leah Cox (not pictured) have each made significant contributions to The Community Foundation. Thank you for helping to preserve and grow the quality of life in our region!
Jon Van Zandt stood out during The Community Foundation's Ring in the Holidays annual gala - he introduced numerous new sponsors to the effort and he provided invaluable contracting skills, too!
Twice Past President Chris Repp started her first term at the foundation leading The Community Give online day of giving event. Later she dove into strategic planning to increase efficiencies and grow charitable assets for the region. There were 19 new funds created while Chris was President.
Lucy Harman has been diligent on our Audit, Finance and Board Development committees. She chaired our Annual Campaign for operational support and has even encouraged her daughter Sally and son-in-law George to get onboard. They design and install outdoor room decorations for our holiday event.
They say great board members give time, treasure and talent and Dori Eglevsky is generous with all three! Dori served on the Marketing, Donors Services, Scholarships and Fund Development committees. Dori opened the Dori Gaythwaite Eglevsky Endowment Fund to support critical issues in the community through the foundation's Community Fund.
Leah Cox served on the Youth in Philanthropy and Board Development committees. We applaud her work as Special Assistant to the President for Diversity and Inclusion at UMW and wish her all the best in her new role as Towson University’s inaugural Vice President for Inclusion and Institutional Equity.
We trust this transition is not good-bye but simply farewell for now!
Thank you once again Leah, Jon, Lucy, Chris and Dori.
