Olde Forge Junction is a small community in Stafford County.  Recently, a group of area individuals from social agencies, business and industry, and local churches have formed an organization whose mission is to provide “support for educational purposes with a focus on enhancing employment potential through education,  enhancing financial self-sufficiency through better jobs, and training in community ministry” for the community of Olde Forge. 

The goal of the organization, Olde Forge Junction, Inc., is to transform lives and improve the community through this new and growing partnership. The Community Foundation has been asked to manage the fund for Olde Forge, and is proud to have the opportunity to be involved in the worthwhile enterprise.

The organization will award grants to individuals that help further education, that help to qualify them for licensing in a particular field, and that help develop life-skills such as parenting, budgeting, communications, and nutrition. Whether it is to become a cosmetologist, a truck driver, a licensed plumber or electrician, or to go to college, the group looks to be able to award grants that help with those expenses.

With ongoing nurturing of youth and children, with support that helps people get the services and education they need, Olde Forge, Inc. hopes to help build a safer and better community for all its citizens.
