The Pineapple Fund
Introducing, the Pineapple Fund of The Community Foundation!
Brooke Miller chose the pineapple as a symbol for her business because it represents what she stands for: building relationships, treating clients as guests, being warm and inviting, and delivering the "unexpected extra." The pineapple symbol says "welcome." Brooke and her team strive to create a feeling of welcome each day. They treat clients like family, ensuring they're comfortable and enjoying the process of working with Brooke Miller Real Estate - Long and Foster, Realtors.
Through the newly established Pineapple Fund, Brooke plans to offer support for local nonprofits that make houses into homes. A home is where we weather life's storms — and revel in the sunshine. Grants from this fund will support organizations such as affordable housing providers, animal rescues, foster parent and adoption resources, and nonprofits that support accessibility and independent living.
Growing up, giving back was always part of Brooke's family. Not only in monetary donations, but also volunteering their time and talents to the greater good. Brooke and her husband, Nathan, teach these same principles to their children.
"Giving through the foundation made it really easy to start a fund. It took some time to save money and to fully understand the power of giving through the foundation. The staff was so supportive and answered all my questions. They helped me make the best decisions to set up our Pineapple Fund and made me feel special in doing it."
