Andrew Kassoy and B Corps - Philanthropy Speaks

The Community Foundation delivers innovative ideas that work for you, your clients and our community.

The foundation's annual Philanthropy Speaks luncheon, hosted this year with the Fredericksburg Regional Alliance of the University of Mary Washington, provides fresh perspectives on the wisest investments in our community.

We invite local leaders, philanthropists and professional advisors to attend this complimentary annual luncheon delivers.

Featured guest Andrew Kassoy, co-founder of the nonprofit B Lab, will share his passion for championing the power of the private sector to be a force for good.

Following sixteen years in the private equity industry, Kassoy co-founded B Lab with the goal of creating a community of companies with high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Through a rigorous process, B Lab provides the ability for companies to become Certified B Corporations and continues to aid in the measurement of their impact as well as the celebration of their successes.

Kassoy currently serves as a Board Member of Echoing Green, on the U.S. working group of the G8 Social Impact Investing Task Force, and on the Forbes Impact 30 list of leading social entrepreneurs.
