Nonprofit Leadership Cohort
After an unprecedented and challenging year, The Community Foundation is identifying opportunities to help develop long-term and sustainable capacity-building initiatives for nonprofit organizations across our region. Earlier this month, The Community Foundation engaged 24 nonprofit executives in an eight-month Nonprofit Leadership Cohort initiative led by Floricane, a Richmond-based consulting firm.
Since 2009, Floricane has worked with a variety of organizations and communities to craft long-term approaches to strategic and leadership development. As nonprofit organizations begin to re-engage with our community, these organizations are uniquely positioned to recalibrate and collaboratively envision a stronger, healthier, and more impactful future for the entire nonprofit sector, therefore benefitting our entire community.
Nonprofit leaders will focus their attention on the changing landscape of the region, mapping key area of opportunity, and identifying short and long-term challenges. The program concludes in November 2021 with an identification of ways their organization can pivot to support regional needs and translate their shared vision into movement towards an aspirational future state.
This leadership opportunity was made possible thanks to the generous support of the Robert Cullen O’Neill Memorial Fund and an anonymous philanthropist.
