Both Jonathan Pittman and Deb Harber have been long-time supporters of local nonprofits in a community they love. To ensure support continues for some of their favorite causes, they created The Jonathan K. Pittman and Debra J. Harber Charitable Fund to meet their philanthropic goals and exemplify the power of targeted giving now and forever.
They realize that many community organizations struggle with annual budget shortages. By giving regular donations to operating funds of organizations of their choosing, they hope to support work they are passionate about by allowing the current governing bodies to do what is most needed at the time.
Deb retired as director of financial aid from the University of Mary Washington after 26 years. Jonathan is known to many for his 26+ years at Radley Chevrolet/Cadillac where he is executive manager.

About Designated Funds
A Designated Fund enables a donor to invest in the precise cause or community issues that they care most about.
When you set up a Designated Fund with the foundation, you define its specific charitable purpose, even its beneficiaries, at the fund’s inception. Designated Funds are strongly focused: once you have thoughtfully determined the way you want to structure your fund, grants will be distributed in perpetuity.
The Community Foundation administers the fund without significant change based on the donor's initial instructions. When a grant is made, the foundation monitors how the funds are used to ensure that the use fulfills your charitable goals.
