The Community Foundation is a devoted advocate for the vitality and well-being of the Rappahannock River Region.  We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that manages and distributes charitable giving in the counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, and Caroline, and the City of Fredericksburg.

For more than 20 years, our donors have made a significant positive impact by establishing over 170 funds that collectively give over $1,500,000 each year to local nonprofits, churches and schools. Generous individuals, families and businesses give through the foundation to shelters, clinics, museums, habitats and much more.

The Community Foundation promotes greater philanthropy by addressing the challenges faced by donors in a responsible and knowledgeable manner. We distinguish ourselves from other local charities by providing efficient and effective services to build a collection of permanent funds.
