Join Our Team as a Program Specialist
The Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region is excited to announce an opening for a Program Specialist at our Fredericksburg, VA office. This full-time position offers a salary range of $50,000 – $65,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
Key Responsibilities:

Scholarship Funds: Co-lead the administration of over 50 scholarship funds, ensuring a seamless application, selection, and award process.

Grantmaking Initiatives Support: Assist with core participatory grantmaking programs, including the Women and Girls Fund and Youth in Philanthropy.

Nonprofit Leadership Support: Co-lead the Nonprofit Leadership Cohort by providing logistical support for monthly programs and engaging with participants to strengthen the nonprofit sector.

Donor Engagement & Administrative Support: Prepare donor correspondence, support accounts payable processing, and assist in preparing board and committee reports.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, philanthropy, or a related field.

Experience in scholarship management, grantmaking, or donor relations is preferred.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with donor management software is a plus.
The role is primarily office-based with occasional local travel for meetings and events, and may require some evening and weekend work. Applicants must be able to commute to Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
