Community Events Calendar

The Community Foundation’s Events Calendar highlights programs, events, and opportunities hosted by partner organizations that align with and advance our mission. This calendar is intended for nonprofits, community partners, educational institutions, and mission-driven organizations working to strengthen our region.

Event Submission Guidelines & Requirements

Thank you for your interest in submitting an event for consideration. To ensure alignment with The Community Foundation’s mission and values, all submissions are reviewed by staff prior to approval. You can expect a response within approximately 72 hours of submission.

Purpose of the Calendar

This calendar exists to support a connected and collaborative community ecosystem by sharing events that:

  • Build capacity for nonprofits and community organizations
  • Foster learning, leadership, and collaboration
  • Support philanthropy, equity, education, and community well-being
  • Create opportunities for engagement and positive community impact

Eligible Event Categories

Submitted events should relate to at least one of the following focus areas:

  • Nonprofit capacity building or training
  • Community education and learning opportunities
  • Workforce development or career readiness
  • Leadership development
  • Networking or collaborative convenings
  • Philanthropy, civic engagement, or community impact initiatives

Submission Requirements

  • Events need to be held within the region, and accessible to members of our community.
  • Events can be accessible via virtual platforms (such as Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams).
  • All events must be open to the public (registration limits are acceptable). If you have a target audience or private guest list, we cannot ensure sharing your event on our community calendar will reach them.
  • Events should be submitted at least 10 days prior to the event start date.
  • A featured image is required for all submissions.
    • Image size: 800 × 600 pixels
    • Orientation: Horizontal
  • Submissions containing inappropriate language, imagery, or content will not be approved.
  • The Community Foundation is not responsible for inaccuracies related to event details (date, time, location, or changes).
  • The Community Foundation reserves the right to edit submissions for clarity, grammar, and consistency—or to decline posting events that do not align with our mission.
