Earl and Mary Hall Charitable Fund

He was a Minnesota farm boy, displaced by World War II. She was a Washington, D.C., native, the oldest of four sisters. They met in Washington before his deployment to Europe and married when he returned.

The Halls raised six children in Falls Church, Virginia, all of whom went on to graduate from college and have successful careers. Earl worked for many years for the utility now known as Dominion. Mary was a homemaker while the children were small, then a federal employee.

The couple retired to Loudoun County, Virginia, where they enjoyed gardening and volunteered with local nonprofits. Earl died in 2004 and Mary in 2013.

They are remembered fondly by their family through this special interest fund administered by The Community Foundation.

The Earl and Mary Hall Fund will be used to reduce hunger in the Rappahannock River region.
