The Richard C. Hayden Family Scholarship Fund
The Richard C. Hayden Family Scholarship was created in December 2012 in a spirit of service and gratitude. It is a way for the Hayden Family to honor Rick’s hometown and to share the family’s blessings with young King George athletes. The fund will recognize athletic acheivements and support the college education of exemplary competitors.
Each year, at least one scholarship will be awarded to a King George High School senior who best represents the values of fair play and good sportsmanship. The winner should also exemplify personal character while representing King George, he or she must be a positive role model, worthy of being emulated by future students.

About Scholarship Funds
Donors help area students achieve their dreams by establishing or contributing to a scholarship fund at The Community Foundation. Scholarship funds are flexible and can be structured to benefit students at any education level, or for a specific institution. Donors often use scholarship funds to honor or memorialize a loved one.
Donors maintain an active voice in the student selection process while they rely upon The Community Foundation’s Scholarship Committee to handle the necessary paperwork and ensure that scholarships are distributed equitably.
Let us help you create the fund that works best for your charitable giving goals!
How to Apply
The online application portal will walk students through our application process.
