Apply Now for grants to preserve and share regional history - The Virginia Heritage Fund

The Community Foundation is accepting applications from area nonprofits for grants from The Virginia Heritage Fund. These grants support the collection and preservation of the documentary history of the Rappahannock Region and make our history broadly accessible.

The Virginia Heritage Fund was established at the foundation with an initial gift from Ms. Paula Felder. Ms. Felder was an astute and avid historian.  She worked tirelessly to record and preserve the history of the Fredericksburg region.  She is the author of Forgotten Companions and Fielding Lewis and the Washington Family, as well as many articles in the Town & County section of The Free Lance-Star.
