Do you believe in what we do?
The Community Foundation believes in charitable giving that is as thoughtful as it is passionate.
We believe in leaders who are also servants.
We believe in the power of generosity and we believe in our community.
The foundation has been bringing generous people together for more than 20 years. Together, we are making a significant positive impact. This fiscal year we:
- Quickly established The Community Relief Fund, dedicated to immediate relief and long-term recovery in the face of the coronavirus pandemic. The fund has already assessed critical needs, raised over $565,000 and distributed $397,375 in rapid-response grants to area nonprofits.
- Managed 41 scholarship funds from application, to community volunteer review to award and student celebration. Local seniors received $150,074, brightening a tumultuous 2020 senior year.
- Stewarded 171 named charitable funds and collectively distributed $1.5 million in grants efficiently and effectively.
As I finish my term as foundation President I am aware that a new Community Foundation budget year is fast approaching. Like other area nonprofits, the sources of support that we rely upon to deliver services and fuel initiatives have been significantly disrupted. A contribution now will go far in sustaining The Community Foundation work through the next year and beyond.
We remain vigilant in our mission to build a flourishing philanthropic community.
If you believe in what we do, as I know you do, please make that donation today.
Sincerely,
Stu Ashton, President
