Marian McCabe established this fund in recognition of her friend and colleague, Paula Felder, and in support of the historic preservation work that they collaborated on over the years. This fund is designated to provide annual operating support for research, scholarship, interpretation and publication within the programs of The George Washington Foundation.

About Designated Funds
A Designated Fund enables a donor to invest in the precise cause or community issues that they care most about.
When you set up a Designated Fund with the foundation, you define its specific charitable purpose, even its beneficiaries, at the fund’s inception. Designated Funds are strongly focused: once you have thoughtfully determined the way you want to structure your fund, grants will be distributed in perpetuity.
The Community Foundation administers the fund without significant change based on the donor's initial instructions. When a grant is made, the foundation monitors how the funds are used to ensure that the use fulfills your charitable goals.
