Honoring a Life of Service, Advocacy, and Compassion

The Amy McCullough Memorial Fund was established by The Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region in memory of Amy Estes McCullough, a devoted community leader, respected elder law attorney, and compassionate advocate whose life was defined by service to others.

Amy believed deeply in helping people navigate difficult and important moments in their lives with dignity, understanding, and care. As an accomplished elder law attorney, she was known for her commitment to individuals and families and was recognized by the Virginia Academy of Elder Law Attorneys as Lawyer of the Year. She later served as President of the organization, reflecting both her professional leadership and her dedication to advancing the field.

Her commitment to service extended well beyond her legal career. Amy gave generously of her time, knowledge, and energy to organizations throughout the Fredericksburg region, serving on the boards of Washington Heritage Museums and The Community Foundation, while also supporting Fredericksburg Christian School, the Service League, and her church community.

As a member of The Community Foundation’s Board of Governors, Amy brought a thoughtful perspective, a steady voice, and a genuine passion for strengthening the community she loved. She understood the importance of philanthropy and the role that community organizations play in improving the lives of others.

The fund was created to honor that legacy by supporting organizations whose work reflects the values Amy held throughout her life, including Washington Heritage Museums, where she served and which was meaningful to Amy and her family.

Through this fund, Amy’s legacy of compassion, service, advocacy, and community commitment will continue to make a difference for generations to come. We are honored to remember Amy not only for all she accomplished, but for the many lives she touched through her generosity, leadership, and care for others.
