Our Universal Application makes it easier for students to access scholarship opportunities. By completing one application, students will be considered for multiple scholarships. The Universal Application will ask questions about academic background, goals, high school activities, work history, etc.
These qualifying questions will allow students to access the specific scholarships for which they meet the eligibility criteria. The Universal Application will replicate common information for each qualifying scholarship opportunity but supplemental information may be required prior to submission.
Students will use features within the online application to contact their school counselor for transcript information and a teacher of their choosing for a recommendation. Some scholarships require additional recommendations, and students will be able to request those as needed.
Click the "apply" button above during the open application window to access the online scholarship application portal and begin a scholarship application. The scholarship portal opens in December and closes mid-February.

Special Provisions Regarding Scholarships
Due to the potential for undue pressure and subjectivity in the scholarship selection process, family members of current members of the board and administrative staff are not allowed to apply for a Community Foundation scholarship. In addition, family members of any person asked to serve on the scholarship review committee (non-board members) are not allowed to apply for a Community Foundation scholarship. All members of the Community Foundation Scholarship Committee will sign a statement of disclosure upon appointment to the committee. For the purpose of this policy, family members are defined as spouses, children, grandchildren, stepchildren, step grandchildren, siblings and their children.
It is the responsibility of applicants to review The Community Foundation’s Board of Governors roster to ensure they are in compliance with this policy.
