Nonprofit Leadership Workshops are BACK!

One of the Community Foundation’s main objectives is to strengthen the capacity of the nonprofits serving our region through training and professional development. We have invested in the Center for Nonprofit Excellence and partnered with Germanna Community College to offer a multi-month series of Nonprofit Leadership Classes to equip our region’s nonprofit leaders with the latest professional training by industry experts.

Good News From Grantees: A Healthier Community

Through a grant from The Community Fund Fredericksburg Christian Health Center will be able to continue providing Behavioral Health Interventions. Recognizing the challenges faced by many patients in accessing mental health services, this program integrates behavioral health services into primary care. By streamlining access and reducing financial barriers, it aims to enhance mental health outcomes in the region.

Royster’s nonprofit organization, the Center for African American Genealogical Research, Inc.. received a $6,000 grant from the Duff McDuff Green Jr. Fund of the Community Foundation of the Rappahannock Region to conduct research on the five subjects she identified as abolitionists during the 18th and 19th centuries.
